Our featured Student of the Month for the month of December is Adin Wigfall, a sophomore at the School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High.
Adin “has an inquisitive nature that looks beyond the standards being presented in the classroom in order to fully understand the content being taught, said his nominator. He is described as an ambitious and respectful young man that will represent the School of Liberal Studies and SCCPSS with honor and distinction. He maintains a GPA of 90.1 – which coincidentally is our graduation rate! – and he demonstrates a positive attitude and maintains satisfactory attendance.
Our honored student serves on the Chatham County Youth Commission where he uses his position to advocate for his peers at the School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High and throughout his community. In addition, our student has a part-time job at Zaxby's, where he is known for his ready smile and his willingness to work hard.
Adin recieved several gifts from our community partners – the Savannah Schools Federal Credit Union and Members First Credit Union. Additionally, he will receive a one-topping small pizza certificate donated by Donato's Pizza, a sweet treat from J. Williams. In addition, Adin and a class of his choice will receive copies of his favorite book sponsored by E. Shaver Booksellers. Finally, Adin will take home a portrait by UpScale Photography provided by Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools. Congratulations to Adin, his family, and the faculty and staff of the School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High. We are joined today by Adin and his parents, his nominator, Mr. Lee and Dr. Jenkins, principal at the School of Liberal Studies at Savannah High.
