Annual May Day Festival Continues at Massie Heritage Center

Published on: 5/5/2023

The annual May Day Festival at Massie Heritage Center was yet another success as this 167-year celebration continues. Massie Common School opened in 1856 in Savannah, GA hosting its first May Day in the Spring of that same school year in Calhoun Square. This festival of springtime continues today.
Congratulations to the 2023 May Day King and Queen: Kiara Maldonado-Santos of Rice Creek K-8 School, and White Creel of Hesse School K-8. Thank you to our dedicated Mistress of Ceremonies for the past consecutive years, WSAV Kim Gusby and cheers to Savannah Arts Academy's Junior, Gracynn Britt, who sang the melodious National Anthem. Happy May Day, from SCCPSS!
