Our featured Student of the Month representing the month of March is a senior at Groves High School. Her teachers boast about the level of maturity she models daily. After her sophomore year, she decided to challenge herself to move beyond excelling in honors classes and opted to take college classes in the dual enrollment program.
She's a very active senior in and out of school. She is the Beta Club President, Skills USA Vice President, a Garden City Youth Council Member, a member of the National Honor Society, and more. Additionally, she participates in food drives, school beautification projects, Feed the Hungry Food Drives, Anti-Bullying Campaigns, and Breast Cancer Awareness Campaigns just to name a few.
She states, "Positioning myself to be accepted to the two colleges of my choice (Ga Southern University and Albany State University) has been my motivation to strive for academic success. But my greatest motivation of all is that I want to be the first in my family to finish college and earn a degree." After graduation, she plans to attend college and major in sports medicine.
