Coastal Middle Student Wins 2019 District Spelling Bee

​“Narcissistic” was the winning word for Coastal Middle School student Amit Golan Monday night at the Savannah-Chatham County Spelling Bee. 

She won the bee after nearly three hours of competition.  Amit, along with second place winner Holly Kachmar of Howard Elementary and third place winner Kasey Stewart of Georgetown K8 will compete in the regional spelling bee which will be held at Savannah State University on February 23, 2019.

Spellers from 40 SCCPSS Elementary, Middle and K8 schools qualified to participate in the annual district bee by winning their school spelling bees.​ Check out photos from the event here
