Garden City Youth Council Sworn In

The Garden City Youth Council was sworn in Monday night, February 3, at the Garden City Council Meeting.   

The Garden City Youth Council is a leadership development program for youth currently enrolled in grades 9-12 within Garden City.  The Youth Council will provide recommendations and advice to City Council regarding activities to be undertaken for and with the youth in the City, and to aid in carrying out those activities. The Garden City Youth Council consists of 18 high school students from Groves High School who were recognized and sworn-in Monday, February 3, at the City Council meeting.  They are:  Zamir Baxter, Ashana Burns, Ta'Neajah Campbell, Jasmine Dixon, Rondrick Dixon Jr., Geisel Hamm, Vanessa Harriott, Erin Horne, Darrin Johnson, Azaria Kinlaw, Paige Richards, Marissa Stowbridge, Christian Taylor, Amaya Walker, Malachai Walker, Shawnee Williams, Taylor Wilson, and Jack Wuchter. ​  See more pictures here​.
