Garrison Student Recognized for Entry in Annual Plains Peanut Festival Postcard Contest

Congratulations to Garrison School for the Arts student Cailey D’Aguillo.  The 6th grader placed 2nd in her grade group in the annual Plains Peanut Festival Postcard Contest sponsored by the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site.

There were over 4,300 entries from across the state and Cailey was among those invited to attend the annual Peanut Festival Parade and meet former President Jimmy Carter!

The theme of this year’s contest was “From Peanuts to Peace…Celebrating 95 Years of Excellence.”  Entries were judged on creativity in use of the theme.
