Get started with GetCTC by November 15th to claim your tax benefits in 2022

Published on: 11/9/2022

The Child Tax Credit (CTC) is a tax benefit that helps families with the costs of raising children. While the CTC has existed for over two decades, it was significantly expanded in 2021. This year, you can get up to $3,600 per child under six and $3,000 per child ages 6-17.
The credit is smaller for single parents earning over $75,000 and married couples earning over $150,000. Nearly every family under those income levels receives the full amount. You are eligible for the full CTC payments even if you earn very little or no money, and even if you don't usually file taxes.
There is now an easy form for people to file on their mobile devices in 15 minutes or less in English or Spanish. People have until November 15 to sign up this year at GetCTC.org.
