During
the week of November 18-22, 2019, each 8th grade student in
Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools will have an opportunity to visit the
Groves High School/Savannah Tech in collaboration with Gulfstream Aerospace’s, Aviation
Maintenance Program to see the future Groves High School industry standard
Aviation Manufacturing and Service lab.
Students who successfully complete this program will earn certificates
in the areas of Aircraft Assembly Technician I & II, Composite Technician
and an Aircraft Structural Diploma.
A
parent meeting will be held at Groves High School for parents to learn more
about the pathway and partnership between Groves High School, Savannah
Technical College and Gulfstream on November 21, 2019. The meeting begins at 6:30pm. District staff
will be on site to answer questions, as well as representatives from Savannah
Technical College and Gulfstream Aerospace.
Groves High School is located at 100 Priscilla D. Thomas Way in Garden
City.
