Jenkins High Senior Qualifies for FBLA National Competition in Digital Video Production

Published on: 5/11/2020

An online awards ceremony for Georgia's FBLA conference was held last week and Jenkins High Senior Nikolai Aksenov received fourth place in the State in the Digital Video Production Competition.  That strong finish qualifies him to compete at the National Level this summer.

The Digital Video Production competition required him to submit a 3 minute or less video advertising an airline company.  He submitted his video at the FBLA regional level last fall and received second place.  That qualified him for state.  The state level added a component requiring a live presentation in front of the judges explaining his creative process, equipment/software, filming techniques, etc.  Because of the COVID-19 shutdown, he had to record and send that presentation in to judges.

The national competition is normally held in conjunction with the organization's annual National Leadership Conference that had been scheduled to take place in Salt Lake City next month.  The conference and the competition have now been moved online and the competition will be conducted virtually.
