Our featured Student of the Month for November is 7th grader Azaria Robinson of Mercer Middle School. She was nominated by Principal Dr. Christian Pantin who shares that Azaria has exhibited Mercer Raider P.R.I.D.E by being Prepared, Respectful, Involved, Disciplined, And Engaged daily. This young scholar is currently participating in her Grade-Level's Acceleration Program in order to earn high school credits when enrolled as an 8th grade student next school year. She is in the Junior Police Academy and the Raider PRIDE Club for the 1st Quarter of the 2022-2023 school year.
Our stellar student understands the power of self-advocacy and executive functioning skills, not only as a role model but as a peer. She is described as “the epitome of a 'solution to the problem' while maintaining peace and patience. Congratulations to Azaria, her family, and the faculty and staff of Mercer Middle School!
Thanks to our community business partners, Azaria is taking home multiple gifts– a gift card from Members First Credit Union as well as Horne Law. Additionally, she will receive a meal voucher from Chicken Salad Chick, as well as Chicken Salad Chick merchandise, and a dozen cupcakes from J's Sweet Treats. Azaria and students of her English/Language Arts class will receive printed copies of her favorite book Wonder by R.J. Palacio from our sponsor E. Shaver Booksellers. Lastly, Azaria will take home a portrait by Upscale Photography provided by Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools. Again, congratulations!
