Published on: 8/28/2020

The Educate Chatham Foundation received a donation of $32,500 from Chatham Motor Sales/Pittman Enterprises for the purpose of purchasing technology for students to use during virtual learning. Chatham Motor Sales/Pittman Enterprises operates five dealerships in the Savannah metro area:  Chatham Parkway Toyota, Chatham Parkway Lexus, Chatham Parkway Subaru, Hilton Head Lexus and Rincon Chevrolet.  Winston Pittman, Jr. and Alma Pittman presented the check to representatives from the Savannah Chatham Public School System Thursday, August 27 at the Toyota dealership.

Under President Winston Pittman Sr.'s leadership, and the support of his family, Pittman Enterprises has grown from a single car dealership to an enterprise offering seven major brands. Over the years, Pittman continues to have a strong desire to lift others in a time of need.  “We are pleased to make this donation to the school system to help students achieve success in the new virtual environment," said Alma Pittman, Executive Vice President.  "These small devices can make a big difference for our local students."

The Pittmans - Winston Pittman, Sr., his wife Alma, and son Winston Pittman, Jr., were joined by Superintendent Dr. Ann Levett and members of the Savannah (GA) Chapter, The Links, Incorporated, including Dr. Dionne Hoskins-Brown, Vice President of the Board of Public Education, and Angela Young, President of the local chapter.
