Pooler Lions Club Awards Scholarships to Three SCCPSS Students

The Pooler Lions Club awarded scholarships to three Savannah Chatham County seniors at their monthly meeting Tuesday, April 27th at Lovezolla's Pizza in Pooler.  U.S. Congressman Buddy Carter was the special guest for the evening. 


Ly Vo, a senior at Herschel V Jenkins High School, received a $1,000 scholarship.  Ly plans to attend Georgia Tech to study Biomedical Engineering.

Nguyen Pham received a $250 scholarship.  This New Hampstead High School senior will attend Georgia Southern University in the fall and plans to study Engineering and Computer Science. 

Jasmine Dixon, a senior at Groves High School, received a $250 scholarship. Jasmine plans to study Chemistry at Georgia Southern University next year, with the goal of attending medical school to become a surgeon. 

The Pooler Lions Club was founded in May 2011 and has worked with the city, police, schools, the Chamber of Commerce, churches, and nursing homes to plan how Lions can help residents in our area.  Thank you to the Pooler Lions for supporting our scholars!
