SCCPSS Improves School to Home Communication Through Peachjar

Published on: 3/5/2019

The Savannah-Chatham County Public School System is committed to educational excellence and ensuring that parents stay informed about important activities and events that enhance their child’s life. In an effort to improve parent and community engagement, SCCPSS will begin using Peachjar to send digital flyers directly to our families on Tuesday, March 12, 2019.

Digital flyers will be sent directly to parents who see them as visually engaging images right on their smartphone or computer screen. Additionally, all flyers will be posted to each school’s website. Parents will be able to click to register their children for youth sports, enrichment programs, and community events.

By using this new system, SCCPSS expects to eliminate the need to print hundreds of thousands of flyers per year– saving hundreds of trees in the process!  Additionally, the school district no longer incurs the administrative burden and costs associated with paper flyer distribution.  Community Partners will be able to upload flyers they wish delivered to our schools, and once the flyer is approved, it will be included in a digital newsletter to parents.  All flyers sent out from your child’s school will also always be accessible through the Peachjar button on your school website.

We hope this change improves the communications experience for all!
