SCCPSS Monitoring Weather - No Change to School Schedule at this Time

Published on: 9/10/2018

Savannah-Chatham County Public School Officials are closely monitoring the track of Hurricane Florence through updates from Chatham Emergency Management and the National Weather Service.  Based on available information at this time, there is no immediate plan to alter school operations.  All schools remain open and on their regular operational schedule tomorrow, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.

SCCPSS officials will continue to monitor conditions as Hurricane Florence approaches the East Coast.  If conditions dictate a need for school closures, or any other change to schedules, parents will be notified through our call notification system and a posting on our website - SCCPSS.com, along with the District’s Social Media pages on Facebook and Twitter.

While we wait to see whether or not Hurricane Florence will affect Chatham County we want to remind our staff and families to have a plan in place to keep your loved ones safe if the storm should turn in our direction.
