SCCPSS Releases 2021-2022 Annual Report

Published on: 11/4/2022

The 2021-22 Annual Report for Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools is now available. We are pleased to provide this snapshot of the work of your public schools over the last year and a half.  Impacts of the pandemic delayed our original intent of releasing this publication; however, the time afforded us the ability to include more success stories from our entire organization.

This moment in time has proven that when we work together, we are able to make a difference. Our students and staff have risen to the unprecedented challenges of these past 24 months. They have demonstrated resilience and dedication.  Despite uncertainty in the face of a global pandemic that magnified and exposed social and economic inequalities, there was an unwavering commitment to our vision: From school to the world: All students prepared to be successful and productive citizens.

Our District has emerged from these challenges stronger and that we remain even more committed to serving our students in new and innovative ways.  Thanks to thoughtful and careful stewardship, SCCPSS was able to fund long-term recovery efforts for vulnerable populations impacted by the pandemic, as well as make it possible for students and staff to receive the vital services they needed to continue teaching and learning.  These resources included devices for all students for virtual learning and beyond, health & wellness clinics for students and staff, and more sustainable practices for operations and maintenance.

In our commitment to equitable and transparent reporting, we invite you to learn more about our mission to ignite and foster lifelong learning at the highest levels for all.  The stories featured in this year's annual report are just a small representation of the successes we see every day.  But none of this happens in a vacuum.  We depend on our community – families, business partners, civic leaders, and elected officials – to be our partners and inspiration in this endeavor.

Thank you for inspiring us and for joining us in building a better public school system together.  We hope you enjoy the report!
