Published on: 12/20/2018

Savannah Early College student Nathan Castro, the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System’s United States Senate Youth Program nominee, is one of  only 19 students from the state of Georgia to qualify to advance to the interview stage of the United States Senate Youth Program this fall.

Though not selected as one of the two Georgia students who will have the opportunity to attend the national program this spring, Nathan did earn a scholarship for outstanding performance.  Nathan will receive $500 towards his education for earning a score of 190 or more on his application, test and interview.

The United States Senate Youth Program, established in 1962 by U.S. Senate Resolution, is a unique educational experience for outstanding high school students interested in pursuing careers in public service.
