STEM Academy at Bartlett Again Named an Apple Distinguished School

​The STEM Academy @ Bartlett is being recognized as an Apple Distinguished School for 2018–2021 for its use of technology including a 1:1 iPad program and integration of apps across the curriculum to create a culture that transcends brick and mortar to digital territories and beyond.  The school was previously recognized for the honor in 2016-18.

Apple Distinguished Schools are centers of innovation, leadership, and educational excellence that use technology to inspire creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking. They showcase innovative uses of technology in learning, teaching, and the school environment and have documented results of academic accomplishment.

Dr. Jimmie Cave, STEM principal, states, “It is tremendous to be recognized as an Apple Distinguished School. Our teachers do an amazing job of incorporating iPad and innovative apps to enhance the teaching and learning environment for our students. To be considered as a center of educational excellence speaks to amazing work of the staff and students of The STEM Academy @ Bartlett.”

The selection of The STEM Academy as an Apple Distinguished School highlights the school’s success as an innovative and compelling learning environment that engages students and provides tangible evidence of academic accomplishment. The mission of The STEM Academy @ Bartlett creates an environment of engagement, exploration, and problem solving for students. Technology and apps help facilitate the type of learning established through this vision.
