There's a great STEM education opportunity being offered to SCCPSS students in 6th – 9th grades. It's a yearlong STEM project related to community problems focusing on the following topics:
· Engineering (Robotics, Technology, Alternative Sources of Energy, National Security and Safety)
· Physics (Forces and Motion)
· Chemistry (Forensic Sciences)
· Applied Mathematics (Analysis of Large Data Sets using Analytics)
· Cyber Security
· Environmental Sciences
Students will attend bi-weekly meetings on Saturday mornings throughout the school year where they'll be advised by Savannah State University Faculty Members, U.S. Army Subject Area Experts and Savannah-Chatham County Public School System teachers. It's all part of the U.S. Army Education Outreach Program and you can learn more by participating in an online information session either Wednesday, September 12th or Friday, September 14th.
