Maria Center, Executive Director of the Southeast Georgia Chapter of American Red Cross, presented the Good Neighbor Award to the Savannah Chatham County Public School System June 26, 2020. Dr. Quentina Miller-Fields, a long time Red Cross Board Member, accepted on behalf of SCCPSS. Dr. Fields has spearheaded "Dollars for Disaster," a Red Cross awareness and fundraising program, in which many schools participate. The Good Neighbor Award recognizes a local organization that has partnered with Red Cross in order to raise awareness of the Red Cross mission and to expand the scope of communities that the Red Cross is able to serve. Honorees will be recognized as part of a larger statewide Virtual Volunteer Recognition and Awards Ceremony to be held at a date to be determined.
