New teachers, counselors, paraprofessionals and others enjoyed a day long System Orientation for Incoming Educators (SOFIE) on Thursday, July 20 at Jenkins High School. 368 attendees enjoyed breakfast with their colleagues and perused the many exhibits by community partners and programs. The group was welcomed by new superintendent, Dr. Denise Watts, who expressed her kinship with the new employees, "I'm a lot like you," Dr. Watts said. "This is just my 11th day on the job!"
One attendee said it was a "great first introduction" to the District. "I'm glad there are so many welcoming faces. And I have enjoyed picking up literature and helpful items to get me started."
