Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Held for the Community Education and Health Screening Clinic at Beach High School!

Published on: 1/24/2020

In September 2019, St. Joseph’s/Candler and the Savannah-Chatham Public School System announced a partnership on an innovative wellness program and health screening clinic for that community at Alfred E. Beach High School. The initiative will provide health care students enrolled in the Medical and Allied Health Choice program at the school valuable real world experience.

Yesterday, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of the new Community Education and Health Screening Clinic at Beach High School! The clinic will be open to the public in early March and will provide comprehensive health screening services. Along with the students, it will be staffed by a St. Joseph’s/Candler nurse practitioner. It will be free for those who lack insurance and available 20 hours a week for patients.
