Parents in western Chatham County attended parent information sessions hosted by Savannah-Chatham County Public Schools Monday, March 15. Two sessions were held – one virtually and one “drive-in style" at the New Hampstead High School parking lot. Both sessions featured an overview of the new school, an introduction of the new principal, Dr. Tory Brown, and a pictorial tour of the new school. SCCPSS leadership shared information about the process and planning for the new school district, when parents can expect notification about new attendance zones and other frequently asked questions. You can view a copy of the Frequently Asked Questions here.
At the drive-in event, parents were greeted by the New Hampstead Phoenix mascot, who danced to the rhythms of the New Hampstead Blazing Brigade Drumline.
You can view a recording of the virtual meeting here.

There are two upcoming events for west Chatham County parents to learn about the new K-8 school at New Hampstead: March 22 at noon and March 23 at 6:00. Both events will be conducted virtually. Links to view the virtual presentation will be provided.
